KELVIN
Kelvin was born in Southern California and raised in Charleston, South Carolina. In 2002, he received a B.S. degree in chemistry from the University of South Carolina, where he was mentored in the field of polymer chemistry by Prof. Uwe Bunz. He received his Ph.D. from MIT in 2008 under the direction of Prof. Stephen Buchwald, where he conducted research in synthetic organometallic chemistry. After serving as a visiting scientist for one year with Prof. Heather Clark (Biomedical Engineering), he began his postdoctoral studies at Stanford University with Prof. Paul Wender (Medicinal Chemistry) and Prof. Daniel Spielman (Radiology). Kelvin was an assistant professor in the California State University system (SFSU & CSUF) from 2013 to 2020. In 2023, he moved to Loyola University Chicago, where he is an associate professor.
